Hello! My name is Robyn and I’m from the United States. I’ve lived most of my life in Colorado, but have lived in several other states as well. I’ve traveled throughout the U.S. as well as several other countries including Nepal, Bolivia and the U.K. I love backpacking and have completed several long-distance trails including the Appalachian Trail (in the eastern U.S.), the Long Trail (in Vermont), and the Colorado Trail. I’ve also climbed many of Colorado’s highest peaks.
I have a TEFL certificate and have taught English in China and Japan. I also volunteered at a language school where I worked with students from Russia, Africa and the Middle East. Before I taught ESL, I was a librarian for several years and have a master’s degree in Library Science. I’m a certified Cambridge English Examiner and have also taught TOEIC classes. I understand the challenges of learning a new language, as I too have taken foreign language classes (Spanish and Japanese). It’s important to me that you reach your goals and I’m very glad to be a part of that process. I look forward to working with you!

My native speaking teacher is Robyn. She’s fantastic! I appreciate the individual approach that she applies to our classes. We use the course book I like and work on the topics of my choice. Robyn is a positive, supportive and attentive person, which is why I enjoy communicating with her so much! Native speaking tutors have a huge advantage over their Russian colleagues in terms of teaching English — they understand the language from inside. I would recommend taking classes with foreign teachers to those students who need to practice and polish their knowledge.
